Well speaking as a lab tech. I would say it has
to do with the tolerance for sugar.
Alcohol is very high in sugar, so it would
stand to reason if you can not tolerate one you can't tolerate the
other.

Yona -
I've often wondered this myself. Does anyone have any answers?

Question if I
may be so bold as to ask this particular one without stirring up a hornet's
nest. It is well known that in certain ethnic races the people cannot for
some reason or another stand alcohol to be in their system. I have often
wondered why this is so. Does anyone have a good answer to that
question. Yona

must be something we can do about this outrage help to give them an education and something to
do with their time, and alcohol won't be as prevelent. the white man
introduced us long ago to the wonders of alcohol, good and bad, and now
they wonder what kind of a deamon they have created.

There must be something we can do about this outrage To ban the
sale of liquor in Whiteclay is not sloving any problem, or the real
problem. All it is, is telling the Indians to go away. It is
almost the typical white way, no more Indians no more problem.
Finding a way to help the abuse of alcohol on Pine Ridge would be the
right thing and the human thing to do. Taking away liquor licenses
does not take away the problem it can only create more problems and
cause more pain to others, espcially those residents of the Pine Ridge
reservation. Treat the disease and help the way of life on the
reservation. This is another example of why sometimes I am ashamed
of being a white American. The Native American way of life of old
is something we all should preserve and learn, not let it get destroyed
by problems that we are the cause of. We can't deny that but then
again we have never been wrong when it comes to what we think is the
best for the Native Americans. Visit and show your support for the Grass Roots Oyate
