The National Indian Education Association (NIEA) in partnership with the
All Indian Pueblo Council will be hosting the NIEA's 33rd Annual Convention
on November 2-6, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM.

The NIEA Annual Convention is an opportunity for model Indian Education
programs to share their goals and strategies for comprehensive and
successful education programs.  The Convention also offers the opportunity
for Indian Educators to become involved in National Legislative initiatives
and network among professional colleagues.

The NIEA Annual Convention attracts over 5000 attendees which include
tribal leaders, Indian Education directors, Principals, teachers, parents,
counselors, students, elders and Indian Education organizations. The NIEA
Convention also attracts corporate vendors and recruiters for potential
jobs.

The All Indian Pueblo Council's Vice President, Mr. Gil Vigil is the
chairperson for the NIEA Local Planning Committee and can be reached at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] The Local Planning Committee are enthusiastically
planning for an interactive and informative convention.  We plan to bring
alive some of the wonderful Southwestern culture and highlight education
programs that will have a positive impact on the lives of children. We need
