David -
It's Sunday evening and I'm just getting to my email, which is why this question is so late - and forgive me if it's answered later on:
What can y'all do to get a permit next year? If you guys asked the police to prove that the stuff they 'found' belonged to you, wouldn't they have to prove it? Especially if you could find a sympathetic - or ambitious - reporter somewhere in your vicinity that might present your side of things?
I just can't see taking this lying down - it's discrimination and it's denying you your civil right to congregate. They should have to prove that you're a violent threat to the general society. The ACLU would love it. That's it and that's all.

Rhonda, thanks for the welcome. Still recovering from saturday with the 4 directions march and ensuing columbus day protest. Now the police are trying smear tactics, so the city will not grant us a permit to protest next year. And so it goes...
Ka dish day shila aash,
