This ruling means there are now two permitted mines in the Cabinet Mountains (Noranda Montanore and ASARCO Troy) with a whole group of mines, including ASARCO Rock Creek, slated for the area. It's time to rally the troops! Kootenai National Forest and Montana's Department of Environmental Quality expect to release a Final EIS on the ASARCO Rock Creek project this summer.
