MISSOULA, MONTANA -- The Confederated Salish
(SAY-lish) and Kootenai (KOOT-nee) tribes have
honored the University of Montana's School of
Forestry. The tribes are commending the Missoula
school for it efforts to recruit, retain and mentor native
American students. Victoria Yazzie-Durglo is a doctoral
student in forestry at U-M... and the person behind the
ceremony. She says the school is being honored for
having a group of faculty and staff willing to work for
diversity... and to help Indian students.
