STATEWIDE, COLORADO -- There's no word yet
from Colorado authorities on whether a change in the
name of the Colorado squawfish will prompt them to
rename Colorado landmarks containing the name
``squaw''. The American Fisheries Society changed the
name of the Colorado squawfish to the Colorado
pike-minnow, after complaints from Native Americans.
But, Colorado has three Squaw Mountains, eight
different Squaw Creeks and at least one Squaw Pass.
American Indians say the name ``squaw'' is a
                   derogatory term.
