Communique From the Biotic Baking Brigade, Midwest Faction, Coldwater Cell
March 30, 1999; Minneapolis, MN

STATE SENATOR CAROL FLYNN RECEIVES HER JUST DESSERTS! THIS PIEING IS FOR
ALL HER LYING!

In response to the backhanded, backroom dealing to stop the protection
of Camp Coldwater Spring, a Dakota sacred site, and Minnehaha Park from
destruction by the reroute of Highway 55, State Senator Carol Flynn,
Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, recieved an entartment
because she belives she is "upper crust" and can decide for the people
what tasty morsels of public policy are available to us."

The Biotic Baking Brigade delivered this delicious mischief because we
feel that it is time that Native Americans get their piece of the pie!
After
unanimous votes in Government Oversight and Operations Committees in
both the House and the Senate Committees, Carol Flynn thinks she is
sweet enough to get by with single-handedly standing in the way of the
peoples will", said Agent Cream Puff, who was captured and arrested by
State Police officers after attempting a slippery getaway.

In a statement released by Senator Flynn's office earlier today, she
stated
she had denied a hearing to a bill that would have protected our state
heritage and sacred sites of Native Americans because she felt the
language of the bill was "inflammmatory and incorrect". The State
Historical Society, Native American Spiritual Elders, the Federal
Highway Administration, and many of our elected officials see otherwise.
Making public policy with backroom deals away from the view of the
public is unacceptable and this organic vegan lemon coconut cream pie in
the eye will go a long way towards helping Carol to see the follies of
her ways. We are answering Senators Flynn's ongoing support of Cultural
genocide with the sticky sweetness of tough love. This non-violent act
of protest is a message that will hopefully put an end to the feasting
of special interests at the expense of public interst.Justice has
clearly been served. Agent Cream Puff is still in jail as of 8:30 pm
central time March 30. The non-cooperating trickster is refusing to eat
unless it is only the finest food the BBB could serve. He is expected to be
released early tommorrow morning, and will have some goodies awaiting him.

                 "Half-baked legislation"

The outbreak of political pie-throwing in Minnesota
has triggered calls for new legislation.

DFLers rushed forth with a proposal to establish a
seven-day waiting period for Bakers Square and other pie sellers to
conduct background checks.

Other liberals were calling for a ban of dangerous
assault pies, such as banana cream and lemon meringue.

                    Meanwhile, Republican were insisting on
right-to-carry legislation, saying that it would have a strong deterrent
effect
on the escalating pie violence. ``Pies don't cream people; people cream
people,'' House Speaker Steve Sviggum said.

Gov. Jesse Ventura blamed the state's news media for
the outbreak, saying they have chosen to glorify pie throwers just
to attract readers and viewers. Ventura encouraged the media to follow
the responsible example he set as a radio talk-show host, when he
voluntarily refrained from commenting on any pie incidents.

``Get on board with us, media,'' the governor
declared. ``Let's talk turkey.''
