The Big Cove Indian Band Thursday agreed to a deal estimated to be worth $3 million. It is the last agreement to be worked out between the province and the native bands. Kennie MacAskill says it is an ideal solution to the dispute with natives over logging. But MacAskill says a final deal hasn't been reached. Mi'kmaq chiefs have threatened to go after an injunction to stop pulp companies from harvesting trees on government land.
