SOLIDARITY FOR SAN ANDRES. LETTER FROM THE AUTONOMOUS MUNICIPALITY

TO THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PRESS
TO NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CIVIL SOCIETY
TO NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS
Through this means we are respectfully addressing national and
international civil society, all non-governmental organizations,
humanitarian groups in the different states in the country and in other
countries of the world, in order to make an urgent call to them to be in
solidarity with and to accompany us in our peaceful action that we have
been carrying out in the Municipal seat of San Andres Sakamch'en de los
Pobres, since April 8 of this year, several thousands of men and women are
gathered in the Municipal seat of San Andres in order to demonstrate our
dissent and our repudiation of the racist and arrogant attitude of Roberto
Albores Guillen for having dismantled our San Andres Autonomous
Municipality, but, as long as the people continue here, their needs
increase moment by moment for food, medicine, water, and even a few clothes
for the children we would very much appreciate, because there are many men
and women who came from far away from other municipalities who could not
bring enough food or clothing for their children, for this reason, to those
who are able to, get something if they can.
