Subject: Re: Chief Wahoo Poll
Robert Eurich....ever vigilant....found a voting poll regarding the Cleveland
baseball teams offensive team mascot and name. People can go to the site
today
and vote "YES" to get rid of both the mascot and the name. But...there is
such
an IRONIC note to this whole announcement. When a person goes to the site
(http://www.nsa.com/body/cfm) they should scroll down to the next article
which
is entitled:
White Out: Behind the Times
The National Football League is starting to show its true colors, and they're
not black! Decide for yourself if the "old-boy" network is still at work
amongst the National Football League owners when it comes to hiring head
coaches. If you think that only FOUR black head coaches in the history of the
National Football League is cause for concern, then it is time to
Talk-The-Talk.
Let's see....on the poll for the the Cleveland baseball team there is a
category "I'm tired of all this politically correct stuff," but in the poll to
discuss the disparity of African-American football coaches in the pros, there
is no such question to be answered. Does anyone else find this weird besides
me?
