I wanted to let you know that at the March 9 Cabinet Meeting, the Cabinet
and I, sitting as the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust
Fund, unanimously approved a motion to take necessary steps to preserve the
Miami Circle at its current site. The State of Florida has agreed to
partner financially with Miami-Dade County, the Native American
communities, and other private donors to purchase and preserve this unique
archeological discovery.
