The FBI and the Oglala Sioux Department of Public Safety are offering a $15,000
reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the
person or persons
who murdered Ronald Owen Hardheart and Wallace Edison Black Elk, Jr.
The men
      were beaten to death.

Authorities say the partially decomposed bodies of the two men were
discovered by a
woman running on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation near the Nebraska
border at
White Clay on June 8, 1999. Hardheart and Black Elk, Jr. were last
seen alive at 10:30
p.m. on Sunday, June 6th, walking North on the main road from White
Clay. Police
speculate they were headed to the South Dakota Side of the reservation.
