Gifts of food and clothing came to the reservation this week from the Native American Forum, made up of about 30 employees of the U.S. Department of Defense in Baltimore, Md. The group includes people from many tribes of the East Coast, none of whom live on reservations. "We are tribes coming from afar to the aid of the Santee," said Paul Clark, a member of the Mohawk Tribe who helped with the delivery. "Just because we are on the East Coast doesn't mean we can't help our own. We are in this together, and we will never forget our brothers and sisters in need." The Santee Sioux Indian Reservation was one of several stops the Maryland group made as part of its first outreach program. It included visits to five other reservations in the Midwest, including Standing Rock and Pine Ridge in South Dakota <SNIP> (entire story at Link at Top) Reprinted under the Fair Use http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/107.html doctrine of international copyright law. <><<<<<>>>>><><<<<> Tsonkwadiyonrat (We are ONE Spirit) http://www.tdi.net/ishgooda/ <><<<<<>>>>><><<<<>
