Hi,

When I open a directory I see a file with correct mime-type (Corel Draw
file).
When I click on it, then the mime type changes to "Microsoft AVI video"

When I try to open it then nautilus prevents me from doing it and asks
to rename the extension to "correct" one ;)

Similar pain is for microsoft word and powerpoint files (they have OLE
type assiged).

AFAIR the nautilus tries to guess the mime-type first from extension (at
directory opening), next from content sniffing.

As the content sniffing is not 100% reliable (ok, nothing is :), beyond
the user control and will not work, ever, for some file types (mostly
the Microsoft OLE stuff) is there any way to disable the content
sniffing?

Regards,

Olaf
