Hi,
There is a problem with doing audio previews in burn://
<http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312275>. Though I think it
is possible that it could cause problems in other places as well.
I have attached to that bug the most minimal workaround I could think
of. Does this make sense to commit before the release? I suppose a
real fix will have to wait until after the release and thaw.
As far as a real solution. I'm not sure it is ever safe to use
gnome-vfs in a forked thread without having something equivalent to
pthread_atfork.
This problem didn't show up until now because we only started using an
GIOChannel watch for monitor events in the 2.11 cycle.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Jon
