Keyboard shortcut: Go to "Keyboard Shotcut" preferences, define a keybinding for "Run a terminal" in the "Desktop" section. Context menu: Grab nautilus-open-terminal [1]. It is more powerful since it allows you to open terminals in any of your local directories. As soon as I release a new tarball, you'll even be able to open terminals on SFTP servers, due to a contribution by Guillaume Desmottes.
