Just wanted to say that I wanted and needed this today. Not for any earth-shattering purposes, but I needed to compare my transfer rates to some other computers easily, and since I transfered some ISOs anyways...
It's a common measure in many applications, don't see the harm of including it. A *lot* of people actually know what these figures mean, including people like my father - he knows what the numbers should be approximately for these kinds of transfers, and can look for trouble if it doesn't add up. A time estimate is really nice, but gives no indication on how it's actually going unless you break out a calculator and do some math. I'll have to say I want transfer rate at least available. You could write it out after the filename as in "Copying file.iso at x B/s" or, if you want to keep things clean, how about putting it in a tooltip so you can hover over the progress bar to get a number?
