I understand the problem, and though I've never been bugged by Directory
Opus' feature, I see why others could consider it an annoyance.
So, what about including the thumbnail into the context menu???

I think it would make a valuable add-on to Nautilus' functionality. By the
way, the process could be extended to every type of file which can display a
preview: by now I can think about plain text/doc/HTML (first part of
document can already be included in a thumbnail) and movies.
