Thanks that did the trick. But the desktop becomes a bit messy with the two lines of text. In the mean time i started digging in the old posts and found a link that had a patch for nautilus to include the tooltips. It was for 2.22.2 but with some minor changes i managed to make it compile in 2.25 and now i have the tooltips. :-)
