Sorry my late response (so busy recently)

Your question is really good.
firstly: I am not clear about gnome-volume-manager when trying to patch
nautilus :)
and more: We are using a minimal system and gnome-volume-manager has not
been
imported, and the functions it provides will be implemented by other
programs separately.
And nautilus is our default file manager, and it can support automount
feature too, so we are
using it to monitor news volumes.

Thanks.
