One approach could be to add an "is_unmount_slot" property to
NautilusNavigationWindowSlot, and then set to TRUE before doing an
unmount. However, I tried coding this up and could do it for sidebar
unmounts/ejects but not for slot context menu unmounts. This would
mean if you unmounted from the Desktop icon, the same problem of slots
closing appears. This is a problem because you can get this context
menu in the mount folder itself, and clicking it will close that
folder.
Any thoughts?

Luke.
