Thank you for your note. We understand your concerns regarding this issue.
Please be assured that we haven't removed or cancelled the
Catalan-language page you may have been using previously.

Google normally redirects users in certain countries from www.google.com
to one of our local destination sites (for example, www.google.fr for
Google France). We use the Internet address assigned to your computer,
which is frequently the Internet address of your Internet service provider
(ISP), to determine which Google site corresponds to your geographic
location. We also offer you the option of avoiding this redirect and using
www.google.com in your preferred language instead.

As you've noticed, we've recently launched a new domain: www.google.es .

If you'd like to use www.google.es in Catalan, click the 'Catala' link. As
long as you have cookies enabled in your browser, you'll only have to do
this once; after that, your browser will remember that you prefer Catalan,
and show you the page in this language. Because this is a local
international site, rather than www.google.com, the logo shows 'Espanya'
beneath the regular Google logo. This doesn't reflect the language the
page is appearing in, only its location.

If you prefer to use www.google.com in Catalan, click the 'Google.com in
English' link. This will redirect you to Google.com. Again, as long as you
have cookies enabled, you won't need to do this more than once. To set
this page to display in Catalan, click the 'Preferences' link. Select
Catalan from the drop-down menu for 'Interface Language'. Be sure to click
'Save Preferences' before leaving the page.

If you prefer not to use cookies at all, you may want to set a bookmark
for http://www.google.com/intl/ca/ to access www.google.com in Catalan.

We apologize for any inconvenience this process may cause you. We
appreciate your feedback on this topic, and thank you for taking the time
to write. We'll keep your comments in mind as we work to improve Google.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Regards,
The Google Team
