We do use fully qualified hostnames but usually they are resolved or we
specify exactly in nsd.tcl what hostname wqe are serving

My problem is: why on earth is this step needed at all?
We do not make use of the fully qualified address, at least
I do not see that.
So why insist on getting one? Why not taking the address from
the "he" as returned by gethostbyname?
