I great your efforts.

I wasn't aware of those activities in the background and I just 
wanted to throw an idea into the pot without putting pressure on 
anyone. I am not sure how Coverity compares to your system and 
what the strengths and weaknesses of either are. In any case, any 
form of analysis is better than none and using one does not 
exclude the possibility of using the other some time in the future.

Zoran has done some dynamic testing using Valgrind and I have 
frequently used Purify on Windows to test our code. Zoran posted 
back the results of those tests and changes back in the past.
