Hi!
some time ago I reported that the N900 Navit version did not fully work
for me - especially that the Nibbler theme did not show the function
icons (for zoom, fullscreen, etc...)

I now found the problem.

The issue was that apparently some Navit stock icons like peak.png were
broken in my installation of Navit - they were 0 bytes in size. This
might have occurred from some older version of the N900 Mavit package.
After overwriting all the stock icons (/opt/navit/share/navit/xpms/
IIRC) the GUI works!

But this obviously shows a bug in the image loader of navit... once it
failed to load any icon subsequent image loading operations become
unstable (some do still work). So this should probably be checked in the
main Navit source - maybe a missing error checking?

Anyway, I am pretty happy with it right now!

As a hint for other N900 users: I recently install the Black Plastic
theme which allows to change the system font. I chose the Android font
(Droid Sans) and now the street names in Navit are also much better
readable - seemd the Droid fonts scale down much better.

In this realm: How can I specify a larger font rendering for the street
names? On the N900 the street names are so tiny, they are barely readable...

Anyway, great!
Thanks a lot!

Cheers
  nils
