I have tried the maps from
http://www.wanderreitkarte.de/garmin_de.php
(online browser rendering http://www.wanderreitkarte.de/index.php)
The maps do extensively use a few types that navit either doesn't know
yet or doesn't have the symbols.
The rendering becomes much more usable when I set
<layer name="Unknown" enabled="yes"> ...
so it might be a good idea to make this the default? For debugging
it would be ideal if such features could additionally have a text
label displayed - can that be configured?
