Try Answering These Bible Questions From Your NIV Bible

Conclusion: Little space is provided for your answers, but it's much more than needed. If you followed the instructions above, you not only failed the test, there was no way to answer the questions. These words and verses are all missing in the NIV.

The NIV is sometimes advertised as "accurate, easy to understand, and up to date". On the basis of this test, do you agree?

If you would like to improve your score, and in fact score 100%, you can take this test using the Authorized (King James) Bible. By  the way, this is only the tip of the iceberg. There are numerous whole or partial verses missing from the NIV, New American Standard, and all "modern versions" which are based on the same misnamed "majority texts" used for the NIV. There are also countless words and phrases which are either missing or altered, as compared to the King James Version. As can be seen from the above sampling of NIV missing verses and phrases, and missing or altered words, many of these detract from the doctrine of the Deity of Christ.  A further analysis shows that the Second coming of Christ is another doctrine under attack by removing or altering of verses. And there are many other important Biblical doctrines which are affected negatively by other missing verses.

For a more complete exposition of the missing verses, words and phrases which occur in the NIV, see the book,
"If the Foundations Be Destroyed"

God Bless you as you contemplate these things.

(Rev 22:16-20 KJV)
 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.
 I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
 {17} And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.
And let him that heareth say, Come.
 And let him that is athirst come.
And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
{18} For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book,
If any man shall add unto these things,
God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
{19} And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the book of life,
and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
{20} He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly.
 Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Deu 4:1-2 KJV
 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you,
for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
(2) Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you,
neither shall ye diminish ought from it,
that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Deu 12:28-32 KJV
 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee,
that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever,
when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.
(29) When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee
, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
 (30) Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them,
after that they be destroyed from before thee;
and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying,
How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
       (31) Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God:
 for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods;
for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
 (32) What thing soever I command you, observe to do it:
thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Pro 30:5-6 KJV
 Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
(6) Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Mat 15:3-9 KJV
 But he answered and said unto them,
 Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
 (4) For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother:
 and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
 (5) But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother,
It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
(6) And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free.
Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
 (7) Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
(8) This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips;
but their heart is far from me.
(9) But in vain they do worship me,
 teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mat 15:10-14 KJV
And he called the multitude, and said unto them,
Hear, and understand: (11) Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man;
but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
(12) Then came his disciples, and said unto him,
 Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
(13) But he answered and said,
 Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
(14) Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind.
 And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
(1 Pet 2:2-8 KJV)
  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word,
that ye may grow thereby:
 {3} If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
 {4} To whom coming, as unto a living stone,
disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
{5} Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood,
 to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
{6} Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture,
Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious:
and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
{7} Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:
but unto them which be disobedient,
the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
{8} And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence,
even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:
whereunto also they were appointed.
(Psa 119:9-12 KJV)  BETH.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
 by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
{10} With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments.
{11} Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
{12} Blessed art thou, O LORD:
teach me thy statutes.
