The Resurrection and the Rapture

RESURECTION:
CAUSING THE DEAD TO LIVE AGAIN.

Job 19:25-27 (KJV)
For I know that my redeemer liveth,
 and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
{26} And though after my skin worms destroy this body,
 yet in my flesh shall I see God:
{27} Whom I shall see for myself,
and mine eyes shall behold, and not another;
though my reins{H=interior organs} be consumed within me.

Isa 26:19 (KJV)
Thy dead men shall live,
 together with my dead body shall they arise.
Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust:
for thy dew is as the dew of herbs,
and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Dan 12:2-3 (KJV)
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
{3} And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament;
and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

John 11:23-26 (KJV)
Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
{24} Martha saith unto him,
I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
{25} Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
{26} And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
 Believest thou this?

1 Cor 15:12-23 (KJV)
 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead,
how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
{13} But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

{14} And if Christ be not risen,
 then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
{15} Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God;
because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ:
whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
{16} For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

{17} And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
{18} Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
{19} If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

{20} But now is Christ risen from the dead,
 and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
{21} For since by man came death,
by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

{22} For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
{23} But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Ezek 37:1-10 (KJV)
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD,
and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
{2} And caused me to pass by them round about:
and, behold, there were very many in the open valley;
and, lo, they were very dry.

{3} And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live?
 And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
{4} Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them,
 O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
{5} Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones;
Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
{6} And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you,
and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live;
and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

{7} So I prophesied as I was commanded:
and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking,
 and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
{8} And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them,
and the skin covered them above:
but there was no breath in them.

 {9} Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind{H=spirit},
prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind{H=spirit}, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Come from the four winds{H=spirits}, O breath{H=spirit},
and breathe{H=spirit} upon these slain, that they may live.
{10} So I prophesied as he commanded me,
and the breath{{H=spirit} came into them,
and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

(1 Cor 15:40-50 KJV)
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
 {41} There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars:
for one star differeth from another star in glory.

{42} So also is the resurrection of the dead.
It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
{43} It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory:
it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
{44} It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.

There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
{45} And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul;
the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
 {46} Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural;
and afterward that which is spiritual.
 {47} The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
{48} As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy:
and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
{49} And as we have borne the image of the earthy,
 we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

 {50} Now this I say, brethren,
that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
 neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

THE RAPTURE:
THE EVENT IN WHICH CHRIST WILL RESURRECT THE DEAD BELIEVERS, PLUS CATCH AWAY THE LIVING BELIEVERS TO BE WITH HIM FOREVER.

(1 Cor 15:51-58 KJV)
{51} Behold, I show you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep{G=be resting in deathRESURRECTION}, but we shall all be changed,
 {52} In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
 for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
 and we shall be changed.
{53} For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
and this mortal must put on immortality.
 {54} So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption,
and this mortal shall have put on immortality,
 then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
 Death is swallowed up in victory.
 {55} O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

 {56} The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
{57} But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
 {58} Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
 always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

(Gen 5:24 KJV)
 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not;
for God took him{H=seized him and carried him away}.

(1 Th 4:13-18 KJV)
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,
 that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
{14} For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
{15} For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord
shall not prevent them which are asleep.
{16} For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
 with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
 and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
{17} Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
 to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
{18} Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

(1 Th 5:1-11 KJV)
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
 {2} For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
 {3} For when they shall say, Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child;
 and they shall not escape.
 {4} But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
 {5} Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:
 we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
{6} Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
 {7} For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
{8} But let us, who are of the day, be sober,
 putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
{9} For God hath not appointed us to wrath,
 but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
{10} Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
 {11} Wherefore comfort yourselves together,
and edify one another, even as also ye do.
