FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Excellent conditions for 420 sailing today on Dorchester Bay. Chilly,
with temps in the low 40s and NE breeze at 12-15 in the morning and 8-12 in
the afternoon. Strong outgoing current in the morning. Courses were all
course 5, no protests. MIT provided 4 of their 420s, enabling us to sail
combined divisions.
Many thanks to coaches for their RC help and to BC "volunteers" Chas Bayer,
Kristin Goodby, and Quinn Ziatyk.
The Emily Wick Trophy is sailed in honor of Ms. Wick who lives in Rockport,
MA. She is a 1951 graduate of MIT and also a former Dean of Women's
Students at MIT. Emily has served as Commodore of Sandy Bay Yacht Club and
remains active in sailing, racing her Bullseye, the Beaver II.
Congratulations to Dartmouth for winning the 2006 Emily Wick Trophy.
