That might be a bit overrated :)
Maybe for some purely CPU-bound applications (integer calculus) such a
speedup is possible. This will not be the case for the average program.

Sure, but it is likely that CPU-bound applications are the ones where
people will care the most about performance so this can "sweeten the
neko deal" quite a deal for such situations/people.
