hm. but these troubles only started when neko started using/supporting threads, 
no? Is neko setting some kind of "use threads" flag for boehmgc?

i find it somewhat annoying that there's no mod_neko for apache 2.0- it's still 
the most common version around (maybe after 1.3) (eg, on gentoo, 2.2 is still 
marked as unstable).

is it thinkable to have a compile flag for neko to disable threads? i dont see 
much point in threads for mod_neko anyway.
