Another data point: gcc 4.2.1 builds neko 1.6.0 fine from sources
with these compile flags:
CFLAGS = -Wall -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -fPIC -fno-strict-aliasing \
-Ivm -I$(GCDIR)/include -DCOMPACT_TABLE
-O3 also works fine with gcc 4.2.1.
So the neko build segfault only occurs with PCLinuxOS gcc 4.1.1,
it seems.
