Yes thats the way I thought this could work. After you created a *.n file use "nekotools boot" to make it executable by the webserver.
It's suprisingly for me that
there are not so many people who know that it's possible to use a
compiler instead of interpreter on a web server. I'm sick and tired of
PHP speed!
Thats why I started working on hxfcgi (which also makes it possible to use the haXe cpp backend for server development) and already use mod_neko and mod_tora in production. There also a few other technologies that look promising, e.g. node.js
