For Health�s sake, PMO gets a proposal for Rs 3,000 cr cess on tobacco, liquor
The latest cess the Government is considering is via the sale of tobacco products and
alcohol. The suggestion to introduce such a cess has come from the Ministry of Health
and Family Welfare and has been discussed by the Prime Minister�s Office last week as
part of the proposals on the larger Rural Health Mission.
