Week in Review: Perhaps the most surprising big news of the week came from Peoplesoft, which decided to remove its CEO, Craig Conway, to bring back founder and chairman Dave Duffield (http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1664804,00.asp). The move, which came following a DOJ decision not to appeal a court ruling allowing Oracle to go ahead with its takeover efforts (http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1665182,00.asp), was seen by many as paving the way for talks between the two companies (http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1665096,00.asp). The latest big threat to the Internet is a bug in a Windows library that processes JPEG images - - and thus might allow someone to embed an exploit with a seemingly-harmless image.
