Hope it's not in front of the crossbars.  Hobie 18's have had a colorful
habit of breaking there under stress.  
The foam between the hulls breaks down, it needs to be replaced.
Generally the area is just drilled through the first layer and injected
with West system.  Then seal and repaint the hole.  
My old H-14 has had this done, the soft spots are soft no more.

I have a soft spot on the side of the my Port hull on my h-18.

Can someone give me an idea on how to fix it?
