Check out the "Nash Trigger Cleat" sold by Harken. I put one on my
mainsheet after hearing about them on this list. The beauty is that
it will allow a controlled easing of smaller amounts of mainsheet
under heavy load. However, it can also be "blown" in the traditional
fashion.
I like it a lot when rounding the weather mark in a stiff breeze or
making small adjustments closehauled.
