Hello all, We are new to the group, and relativly new to sailing.
Presently we have a hobie 16 that we love. We are also looking at
getting a trailerable trimaran to do some quick/wonderful weekend
cruising. We love to sail, we love to spend weekends camping, we
love to go fast..
Unfortunatly, we have yet to get a chance to sail on a trimaran, but
from everything we read, its going to be our next choice. We are
going to annapolis to go look at the Corsairs, as well as the
telstars and ??. will anyone be there with their private corsair 28
or an older f27? We really want to look at these and ask allot of
questions. We will primarily be using whatever we finally have on
the often rough choppy waters of lake erie, as well as having plans
to trailer it to the chesapeak, and various southern ports. also
whatever we buy will have to last another 15 years.
Our primary concern is what conditions will a trimaran actually
operate in? and the livability of them for 3 for weekends? We dont
go looking for bad conditions, but we dont want something we can
only sail in picture perfect weather either.
