Finance minister P Chidambaram on Friday said he was increasingly convinced that
separate caps for foreign institutional investment and foreign direct investment may
not be relevant. Addressing mediapersons here at an investors� meet organised by JM

Hutch admits it holds over 74% in Indian arm

Petroleum regulator to impose hefty penalties
The proposed Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board will be vested with powers to
impose strict penalties on violators. The Board, which will have one chairperson and a
maximum of four members, can also involve central investigating agencies, like CBI, to

BoB seeks nod for 2nd offer
Bank of Baroda has sought the approval of the finance ministry to raise fresh capital
of about Rs 100 crore from the market. This would be the bank�s second public
