If it is an option, you can create a third table, creating the columns in the order that you choose, and merge both tables into it.  If it is not an option, I can only think of ordering the columns at the time of display using properties of the control that will hold the data.

  This might be a dumb question, but does anyone know how to reorder a
  datatable's columns? In my scenario, I have two datatables, and I'm
  using a dataset to merge one into the other. The second table adds
  columns to the first when it's merged, and that's what I want, but I
  would like the added columns to be in-between some of the preexisting
  columns.
