A sales sign marking the expansive site as available went up recently on the vacant parcel on the northwest corner of U.S. 41 and Coconut Road. Broker Tom Luke of Henson Luke Realty Group International confirmed the site is available for anyone to purchase but declined to comment on what happened to the world's largest retailer. LEE COUNTY LEADS STATE WITH SEASONAL RESIDENTS Florida's seasonal residents are easy to find in traffic jams, at early bird specials and on golf courses. But counting them has been a challenge to demographers who on Monday produced the state's first official count of the so-called "snowbirds" in seven years. They found that in the height of the winter season, the state is home to 920,000 seasonal residents, compared to the 170,000 temporary residents who are in Florida during the late summer. WOMAN INJURED BY LOVERS KEY TRAM OUT OF HOSPITAL A New York woman was released from Lee Memorial Hospital on Monday after she fell off a park tram Sunday and was run over by it at Lovers Key/Carl E. Johnson State Park. Theresa Bernier, 54, of Hunt Station, N.Y., was treated and released, hospital officials said Monday afternoon. Most patients classified as treated and released typically spend less than 24 hours in the hospital.
