America, on the Right Track
—Janet Parshall
The good news numbers for President Bush keep pouring in.
Two new surveys show that the president received the largest post-election bounce since 1972. His job approval rating has gone from 48 percent to 53 percent since late October, with an increase even among Democrats and independents. By a margin of 61 percent to 29 percent, those who were surveyed said that Bush would have a successful second term.
The president still maintains public confidence on the subject of terrorism. Sixty percent of Americans say he is handling this 21st century war correctly, compared to 57 percent in mid-October. A majority of Americans think that the nation is on the right track.
We woke up this morning, a nation still at war. Now, more than ever, we need strong leadership. Despite all the negative media coverage, the Hollywood pandering for votes and the debacle of "Fahrenheit 9/11," Americans believe that George Bush is the right man, at the right time for the right job.
