hey! how is everyone doing? penelope mae is going to be 5 months old
tomorow!! its so hard to believe! we had a lovely thanksgiving, my sister
in law lives in the smokey mountains in tennessee and we went and cooked and
had wine and sat out by the bonfire, what a great time! penelope did the
cutest thing too. this past saturday, before we drove back to ohio,
penelope actually had her first wave. we all screamed with excitement and
continued to have her wave at us. shes such a ham that she was just smiling
and waving!! anyway, we are looking forward to the erst of the holidays and
this weekend my husband and i are going to a formal dinner for his company
xmas party. i plan to nurse as much as i can that day and then leave here
to get there as late as we can since she sometimes goes to bed as early as 7
pm anyway. so that will be nice. in other news i had been going to phiscal
therapy to deal with two pinched nerves in my neck and when that didnt work
we did an mri and found that along with the pinched nerves, i have several
herniated discs in my neck. my doctor wants to do surgery and the pain
isexcrutiating, but i dont want to have to wean penelope early. i guess i
could put off neck surgery until shes a year old, but then in the meantime i
have to take narcotic pain medicine (which i am assured at my dosage is safe
for penelope) when the pain gets to be too much. have any of you dealt with
anything like this/have any advice/suggestions?? thanks!
