IBM and Sybase have teamed to add support for Sybase's database 
software on IBM's eServer OpenPower Linux servers. The two 
companies said they will jointly sell and market their products.

IBM opens on-demand tech center, 11/29/04

Hoping literally to bring users more in touch with its on-demand 
technologies, IBM Monday announced the opening of a new 
technology center in Gaithersburg, Md., to help users implement 
a number of different orchestration and provisioning

Sun acquisition to boost IT services portfolio, 11/29/04

Sun has agreed to purchase Ashburn, Va., IT services company 
SevenSpace, the companies announced Monday. With the purchase, 
Sun takes a further step away from its traditional focus on 
supporting only its Solaris operating system platform and beefs 
up its support for competing operating systems like Windows, 
HP-UX and AIX.

Sun is expected in the next six months to introduce software and
