Of 47 who surrendered in J&K, 27 are not militants
On November 9, a group of 47 ��militants�� laid down their arms before Director
General of J-K Police Gopal Sharma and General Officer Commanding of Army�s 16
Corps Ashok Kapur at Nagrota in full media glare. Three weeks later, the J-K
police has found that 27 among these ��surrendered militants�� had nothing to
do with militancy and were desperate unemployed men.

Karnataka is still to clear new airport, so PM calls CM: Decide
With Karnataka taking its own time in giving necessary clearances for the
proposed greenfield airport at Bangalore, the Centre has asked the state to
expedite matters. Both Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Civil Aviation
Minister Praful Patel have spoken to Karnataka Chief Minister Dharam Singh on
the issue.
