Looking at the sail number, the mainsail number (if not the whole
boat) is the ex "Gunboat" Lou Castle's old F-27.

+++ Eric's right and he's a much better observer than I am.  I read  the
article (very nice Barry) and looked at the photo but didn't even recognize  it as
my old Gunboat.

+++ Now it's Terry's (sorry I forget his last name) boat and I don't know  if
it's been renamed.

+++ And since we're talking about photos at Summer Splash, someone on
another 31 took a picture of the new Gunboat, an F31R, on the way over to  Catalina.
At that time Gunboat didn't have any sail numbers (they hadn't  been
assigned yet).  I'd like to get a copy of the photos but don't know  who took them.

+++ Your boat was leading and we were on your starboard quarter for about  45
minutes.  I started tweaking lines and then very slowly overtook and  passed
you.  As we pulled abeam someone on your boat took a few pictures of  us as we
passed.

+++ We led until turning the corner and headed for Cat Harbor.  Then  my
laughable inability to sail off the wind allowed you to sail past like we  were
anchored.

+++ If this sounds familiar to anyone and you have pictures of my boat,  It's
white with gray nets and no sail numbers, please contact me off list.   I'll
be happy to pay for the pix.
