The Birth of Our Christ Consciousness
Christmas is about the birth of Christ Consciousness in us all. It is our responsibiity to remove all the interference in our hearts that darken the light and casts its shadows upon us, and to use the example Christ gave us to learn to forgive and reconnect to our True Source.
Being single for the first time in quite some time this Christmas season has given me an opportunity to reflect upon the blessed nature of all relationships...to others and to God . I find that close realtionships give us an opportunity to go very deep into our inner being and in this intimate setting allow someone to show us what is hidden within. It is a special gift we receive to experience such closeness and learn how we respond in such a partnership that leads us to deep healing. Are we forgiving and patient? Do we refuse to support our partners dramas and instead hold a space of peace? Can we let go of our attachment to what we want the outcome to be and accept that there is a greater plan for our best interests and to lallow us to release expectations?
For me relationships show the true meaning of Christmas. It is in how we treat each other that demonstartes whether or not we have an open heart that extends itself in love and compassion or whether we are filled with hatred, anger and resentment for not getting what we wanted and how we wanted to then lash out and attack the other partner for not giving us what we feel we deserve.(projection!)
Our ultimate relationship is with our Creator..call it God, Source, Universal Consciousness, Christ, Buddha, Krishna..it matters not. All the matters is how we look upon each other..with love or fear, with trust or mistrust,with peace or anger ...for this determines our vision and our Christ Consciousness.
Perhaps its a good time of the year to review how we hold all others in our hearts and bring the light of Christmas inside to feel the love, peace and joy that belongs there and to let go of everything else.
