RANGERS SIGN ZIMMERMAN TO MINOR LEAGUE DEAL The Rangers signed injury-plagued reliever Jeff Zimmerman to a minor league contract Tuesday, leaving open the possibility he will pitch again for the team. Zimmerman, 32, spent the past three seasons on the disabled list because of right elbow troubles that began in 2002.
