The thing about The Far Side is that you either really get it - or
you really don't. You either love The Far Side, or you loathe it. Gary
Larson, in my mind, is one of our generation's best cartoonist. His
humor, I could only hope to one day match - living in The Far Side
world is something I think we've all longed for at one point in our
lives. It's true that I'm... [Continued]

optimizing palettes, and more. The program can process a single file
or entire directory of GIFs, and shows you the percentage of (byte)
savings for each file. The optimized files can be saved to a new

How often do you use a search engine? I don?t know about you, but
I basically live on Google. After all, how are you going to go
somewhere if you don?t know where to find it? If you?ve never really
learned how to properly utilize a search engine, you really are
missing out. Most of us tend to load up Google whenever we need to do
some detective work, but even though it does deliver... [Continued]

Cindy writes: When I download Windows wallpaper off the Internet
it is blurry. How can I correct this? One of the first things that
computer users want to change on their system is the Windows Desktop
Wallpaper, which is the background image that displays on the main
screen. But oftentimes the image that is chosen to be the background
gets distorted, blurred or completely unusable.... [Continued]

When a bunch of the same type of questions come in almost at the
same time, one wonders if it is just a random fluctuation or the start
of a pattern. Recently several clients and would-be senior clients
have expressed concern about setting up computers in their homes due
to lack of space to dedicate to them. One client said she had been
using the computers in the library ever since she and her husband...

I've bent Excel over backwards doing things that it's not meant to
do. I believe I'm an average user, maybe a notch above. This means
knowing some of the lesser known tricks, but not a pro at pivots or
creating elaborate financial spreadsheets. I have used pivots, but
nothing heavy-duty. This book is 820 pages, but half of it has room
for notes on the left page that has Notes, My Tips/Shortcuts, and
