Astro Meeting: spectacular images of the universe
http://www.photomeeting.de/astromeeting/_index.htm

With Santa preparing his sleigh, all heads turn to the sky in an attempt to spot the jolly little man and his reindeer.  It always helps to have an idea of the sky without Mr. Claus's presence so you'll be able to spot any differences, differences that might mean Santa is on his way.  Astro Meeting posts some spectacular images of the universe.  With all of the different images, it will be difficult to know just where Mr. Claus might be but you'll certainly be fascinated by the presentations and you'll be able to search the sky in a much more informed manner!

If you're unable to ascertain Santa's exact location from the sky photos, try Norad Tracks Santa Website (http://www.noradsanta.org/). Available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Japanese to allow varying parts of the world to know exactly where Santa is as he winds his way to all good little girls and boys and adults, the Norad Tracks Santa Website is a must for everyone waiting for the jolly old elf.  You'll want to visit the site early to make sure that you have everything set up just right for your own personal tracking of Santa with his reindeer.  You'll have access to classified information about this nocturnal visitor, from the amount of cookies that he has eaten, how he gets down the chimney, to pictures of him from past Christmases.  This is a fun web site to help you enjoy Christmas with your small children and grandchildren, or just for your own information if you don't have little ones around the house!

I was sitting behind an enthusiastic mom at my son's Little League game. Her boy was pitching for the opposing team and she cheered as he threw one wild pitch after another. The poor kid walked every batter. It was only the first inning and the score was 14-0. Then one batter finally smacked the ball. "Oh no," the mom wailed. "There goes his no-hitter."

Meat and Poultry:
Veal Scaloppine

from River Road Recipes IV...
Warm Welcomes

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup (4 ounces) grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 pound veal scaloppine, cut into 3-inch strips
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup beef stock or beef bouillon
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  Capers to taste
  Chopped fresh parsley to taste
TO PREPARE:

Mix the cheese, flour, salt and pepper in a shallow dish.  Coat the veal with the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.  Pound the flour coating into the veal with a potato masher or the edge of a plate.
Heat the olive oil and garlic in a skillet.  Brown the veal lightly on both sides in the hot oil mixture; discard the garlic.  Stir in the wine, stock and lemon juice.  Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Stir in capers.
Simmer for 10 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.  Sprinkle with parsley just before serving.  Serve with hot cooked angel hair pasta mixed with minced garlic, olive oil and pepper along with steamed asparagus or sugar snap peas drizzled with lemon butter.
